What audio formats can I trim?
You can drop in MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC or any video file (MP4, MOV, WebM). The trimmed output is always exported as MP3 for maximum compatibility.
How precise can I set the start and end points?
Sliders step in 0.1-second increments, giving you 100ms precision — enough for most music clips and ringtones.
Is my audio file uploaded?
No. The trimming runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device.
Can I use this to make a ringtone?
Yes. Trim to the exact section you want (typically 30–40 seconds) and download the MP3. Most phones accept MP3 ringtones natively or via a music app.
Will trimming reduce audio quality?
The output is re-encoded to MP3 at high quality (VBR ~190 kbps), so quality loss is minimal for most sources. For lossless trimming, use a desktop audio editor.
